Abstract
The aim of this descriptive and analytical type of study was to investigate epidemiological characteristics of post partum blues in pregnant women referring to maternity clinics in Hafiz and Zeinabieh Hospital. The sample consisted of 400 pregnant women in their third trimester who were visited these clinics over the sampling period. The data were collected through two questionnaires; the first questionnaire contained epidemiological information (personal/Family/economical and social conditions) and the second questionnaire contained Edinbrough test with 10 multiple choice item in order to measure post partook blues. The data analysis was suggested that the rate of prevalence of postpartum blues was 51/3 of tested. Also, it was shown that the prevalence of this problem was more, amount housewives those with higher education, The women with a background of depression disorder , those with inappropriate reaction against problems , those with negative attitude toward there pregnancy, those with menstrual disorder and the women with lower education husbands.
