    <Abstract>Background: Users of hospital information system (HIS) use these systems durÃ‚Â­ing working day and know its problems better than othÃ‚Â­ers know. Studying their views is very important and can be espeÃ‚Â­cially effective in the development of the inÃ‚Â­formation system. The aim of this study was to investigate the users' views toÃ‚Â­wards the qualÃ‚Â­ity of hospital information system in the training hospitals of MashÃ‚Â­had University of medical sciences.Methods: The current study was an applied research in Training HosÃ‚Â­pitals of MashÃ‚Â­had (East of Iran), which was conducted with deÃ‚Â­scriptive cross-sectional method.Ã‚Â A four-section questionnaire was deÃ‚Â­signed for data collection consisting of: characteristics of informaÃ‚Â­tion quality, reasons of low quality of information, accessiÃ‚Â­bility of inforÃ‚Â­mation and decision support. Validity and reliability were tested and SPSS was used for data analysis.Ã‚Â Results: 62.8% of users explained that one of reasons of low qualÃ‚Â­ity information was a problem related to obtaining information. 47.7% of them were unsatisfied with hospital information system abilÃ‚Â­ity for decision-making support. In general, 53.2% of users were slightly satisfied with the overall quality information of the sysÃ‚Â­tem.Conclusion: There are some problems concerning information qualÃ‚Â­ity of HIS in Mashhad training hospitals. These problems inÃ‚Â­clude inappropriate information qualÃ‚Â­ity of the system and incomÃ‚Â­patibility with user needs which leads to deÃ‚Â­creased satisfaction of usÃ‚Â­ers towards the system.</Abstract>
